The Molybond coating system
provides a durable barrier coating which is bonded to the surface.
During the coating process an inert,
durable barrier layer is bonded to the surface of the substrate.
This barrier is resistant to corrosion and
chemical attack and prevents electrochemical corrosion.
Critical items such as high tensile bolts
and items made from spring steel, can be successfully coated by the
process without incurring strength loss through hydrogen embrittlement.
The relatively low film build of the
coating allows it to be used on mating parts without having to oversize.
Excellent (dry film) lubrication
properties are another advantage of the coating system.
Malcolm Willis is the only company in New Zealand that can provide this
molybond coating process.
